Confused about what myofunctional therapy is or wondering if it could help you? We are always happy to have a quick, complimentary, phone call to answer any of your questions.

Initial assessments are a critical part of treatment. We take measurements, pictures, observe, and listen to you. With all the information we create a “story” about you.

A typical assessment can range from 45 to 90minutes. One to two weeks after we meet, you will receive a written treatment plan explaining all findings and recommendations. If there is any confusion interpreting the document or questions we are just a phone call away!

Once you have had your initial assessment, you will schedule your first therapy session. The majority of myofunctional therapy (MFT) is based on 12 sessions, each 2 weeks apart. Each session will be structured similarly; review previous exercises, give new exercises given, take/observe measurements or metrics, discussion.

Sessions vary greatly in time depending on your needs. Throughout your therapy it is not uncommon to have periods of pause especially if you are working with an orthodontist or have anatomical restrictions that need to be addressed by an ENT or dentist.

This series is for those who have graduated from a full myofunctional therapy program who feel symptoms returning or new symptoms arising, want a refresher, or had new orthodontic work.

Our frenectomy package gives support to anyone planning a frenectomy (lingual, buccal, or labial). We teach exercises to prepare you for the procedure and optimize healing and success. You can expect two sessions before your scheduled appointment and three sessions once you've had your first post-operative appointment (generally one to two days after your frenctomy).

Research has proven that a frenectomy without myofunctional therapy can result in reattachment of the tissue and/or scar tissue formation. If you are planning a frenectomy, this is a must!

If you are looking for an evaluation or second opinion of a perceived “tie,” we do a limited frenum evaluation for $100, which includes a write up of our findings with a diagnosis and correspondence or referral to a provider.
